This benchmark event, now in it’s 20th year marks the opening of the still water Trout season, which 180 anglers religiously attend. It’s a non profit event, in so far as that all proceeds go towards the Kamberg Farmers Association and are utilized for conservation and community projects. Every farmer and his family in the Kamberg Valley gets involved, with the real spirit of Ubuntu, treating the fly fishers to fantastic local cuisine and country hospitality.
Brandon Karg was crowned best angler for his personal tally of 25 fish and the team trophy went to the aptly titled Bar Flies with 2447 cm of Trout caught and released.
