Video – Tsika Island – Lower Zambezi River
The Wildfly crew managed to get back to our favorite destination down on the lower Zambezi in early November…..
We took our local Notties publican, Clive Foss, along to keep things lubricated and on his first day on the river he landed an 11 pounder on fly followed by a 16 pounder on spinner disproving its not just time spent on the water….
Clive Garlick fished with Craig Tommo and cracked two 11 pounders in his first few casts on the Zambezi promptly breaking Tommos heart as he had got up there earlier and been precision casting for 5 days with only an 8 pounder to show…
Brad in his usual irritating fashion waited till the last few days and then landed a great 20 pound Tiger, which goes to show there are still busses down there..
Jerry Rochester and myself ended the trip by bringing our wives up for a couple of days fishing at Chiawa Camp which is spectacular….the only downside was that my wife outfished me again so we might not do the same thing next year…..
It was great to see the drive on the Zambian side of the river toward catch and release angling at ALL the camps we visited, and at Kasaka in particular, the guides were noting all catch/releases and are really passionate about taking care of this pristine stretch of African water…Fishtube.tv supports your efforts….
As such, he is included not as a Guide in terms of the someone who can give you any indispensable tuition or direction, but to provide us with some fishing tales from the events that WildFly hosts and of course from the locations that the the WildFly team happen to be filming.
